KeyLime Cove had a fundraiser, "Community Days," for the month of May, and a little through June. They offered day passes for $20, and the entire amount of $20 went back to the community. They raised money for the United Way of Lake County, Gurnee Fire Department, Gurnee Police Department, Lifeskills for Leadership. I think this was a fantastic thing to do for our community!

Key Lime Cove has many nice features, but they do offer day passes to the local community. The pool gets crowded and it takes away from atmosphere. If they kept it to just people who stayed overnight, it would be a better situation.

Well, the current rant was on a waterpark in Iowa named Lost Island. We did go to Key Lime Cove in Gurnee back in February and had a decent time. There again, we should have work shoes about the resort. Didn't think to bring flip flops. Also, my boys got very cold and we visited the hot tub frequently.

Are you really talking about KeyLime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort in Gurnee, Illinois? They have an AMAZING indoor waterpark, but don't have an outdoor waterpark...yet! (or so I have heard) Can't wait until they do though! KeyLime Cove's waterpark is also exclusively for guests, they dont offer day passes for non-resort guests. You and your family should definitely make a trip to this indoor island oasis!

You sound so much like me, I'm just too burnt out and over Christmas this year and wish I could be with my family.

I wanted to say thank you so much for the Christmas card, it absolutely made my day :D

I hear ya. We forget about all the new packaging that comes with purchasing a new appliance. Some appliance repairs are simple and I spend a good deal of my time blogging about them on my site. repairing your old appliance saves money and landfill space (for a while anyway.)

Capitalism thrives on planned obsolescence. Think about vaccines. Whether you are for them or against them for children, think about the fact that when the profit motive is there, you can't find companies trying to find new ones. Why? A vaccine doesn't become obsolete. Our drug-riddled culture thrives on needing a new drug to be taken every 4-8-12-24 hours, with the remainder flowing through us into the water. If that's not planned obsolescence, I don't know what is!
